Simple Diorama Tutorial

I will give a tutorial on how to create a simple diorama. This time I will wear desert theme. It should be noted as weathering techniques in making the diorama must be necessary caution not to overdo the process. So the model is created not over reality (exceeds the actual reality).now go to tools and materials required:
  1.     Cardboard size of approximately 1 mm
  2.     The white paper
  3.     PVAC Glue
  4.     Brush flat and round brush (number 1 and 2)
  5.     Crayon Pastel
  6.     Facial Tissue
  7.     Toothpick
  8.     Acrylic Paint

For the steps:

  •  Measure the cardboard and white paper in accordance with the size of your model. In this case give a blank area of approximately 2 cm on all sides. This is necessary so that the model can be seen clearly and not make the illusion of the model is too large to dioramanya. To model JGSD Komatsu LAV, I just made a diorama base for A5 size. Glue the white paper that already exists as a pedestal base on cardboard diorama that had been measured earlier.
  • Take 2 or 3 pieces of facial tissue (tissue that is used as a facial cleanser). Then make the free surface contour that you want by bending or increase the thickness of tissue paper. Express themselves freely, but must remember to not overdo it. After that, stick it tissue paper that had already formed the contours of the land with toothpicks and glue PVAc to base. With strong glue that can not be separated. Do not wet tissue, because it will make the work difficult to paint.
  •  Begin painting with acrylic paint brushes receipts. Remember the painting is done is dry brushing (do not mix the paint with water at all). Take first brush size number 2 untukmengecat ground color in the desert in general. Paint it flat. Then use a brush to paint the size of the No. 1 land contours of the tissue by using more dark colors. Don't ever with a single layer of paint, use paint several times in order to get satisfactory results.
  • Use pastel crayon to add dirty effects (dirt) to the texture shading in advance by using a brush and put it slowly in order to attach to and form a gross effect on the soil texture.
